Send issue briefs with backing (change.org support) to Prince George's County Council and County Executive to call for policy changes

By December 2021, HIAP subcommittee members will advise on the implementation the county resolution to promote Health in All Policies, CR-127-2020.

Meet with Councilwoman Glaros and her staff to discuss opportunities to serve in an advisory capacity to she and her team in moving the resolution recommendations forward.
Develop stakeholder engagement plan to encourage movement of the provisions outlined in the resolution.

By December 2021, raise awareness among the general public, policy makers, and county agency staff about Health in All Policies by identifying/creating and disseminating informational materials.

Develop/adapt introductory one-pager on health equity and health in all policy.

By January 2022, engage one county agency to complete a HiAP pilot process to advance their equity work serve as an example for other agencies.

Develop a survey after review of sample HiAP documents from other jurisdictions that allows the coalition to assess what community organizations are currently implementing or would be interested in implementing to address the root causes of health inequities.

Identify 1-3 agencies that are naturally aligned with tenets of HiAP.
Propose pilot to agency leadership.

Email potential public health and healthcare organizations to ask whether or not they have HL policies, and if so where to access them on their websites; scan websites of identified locations of posted policies

By April 2020, curate resources and engage partners on health literacy strategic plans, resulting in better access to tools and resources that health organizations can use to develop and implement health literacy policies.

Review and revise Health Literacy Primer.
Develop and provide a workshop/TA Support to those without a health literacy policy, but who have interest in developing one.

By October 2020, launch a health literacy learning community.

Convene monthly Learning Community Meetings (ongoing).

By May 2021, develop a Lessons Re-Learned document to capture what Learning Community members have experienced and learned about health literacy, public education, and health communication during the Covid-19 pandemic.
